At this live web cam we see Deer, Raccoons, Opossum, Squirrels, Rabbits and Coyotes.  An occasional flash is generated by Deer Scouting Cameras mounted on nearby trees.

At night there is a motion activated InfraRed Light which will illuminate the critters.  Enjoy!

crittercamlive.com utilizes weatherproof color infrared video cameras, interfaced to a computer and the crittercamlive.com website using webcam software to bring you this 24/7 video feed.

Here is a brief overview of what is involved:

  • crittercamlive makes use of high speed dedicated web servers via web hosting in order to provide the bandwidth needed to support the amount of traffic that a live webcam will consume.

  • Outdoor weather proof color infrared cameras are interfaced via wired or wireless connection to a computer that is on the internet.

  • The computer will utilize a TV capture card (ATI makes some nice ones) that will provide TV Tuner, S-Video, and Composite video inputs.  Since most of the video cameras use composite video this is really the only input needed. This is normally a PCI interface card.

  • Webcam software is used to interface to the video feed using Windows drivers.  The software will capture a frame every so many seconds (this is configurable).  The image can be ftp uploaded to the crittercamlive web site.

  • A web page on crittercamlive then displays the video using a refresher script on the page.

Whether you are a deer hunter, fisherman, or outdoors enthusiast, you can enjoy a crittercam.

If you would like to set up your own crittercam on your property and have crittercamlive host it for the world to see, we can assist you in this very inexpensive task.  Please email us for details on how you can enjoy your own crittercam, live!
